Loughton Dental Centre – Loughton

Spatial Design was approached by Loughton Dental Centre to design and help to find premises for their relocation and expansion of their existing dental practice.

Extensive searching for premises and feasibility studies were undertaken and LDC at last found the premises to undertake their project at 98 High Road, Loughton.

Spatial Design was instructed to design and project managed the new dental practice with a wow factor! The clients brief was formed detailing all criteria’s for the practice incorporating two dental surgeries, scrub room, client consultation room, comms room, office and staff room, staff toilets, client toilets, storage cupboards and waiting lounge.

The complexity of the regulations and the criteria from the client proved to be a challenging and exciting project. The client set the budget and allowed Spatial Design to develop concepts for the design and new practice layout.

SD designed the internal spaces into two sectors private and public and provided spaces that both sectors would enjoy visiting and working in. The main architecture and interior concept was to be friendly, clean, inviting and contemporary!!

The existing premises were two office units and SD undertook the planning application for the change of use to D1 planning category and undertook the building regulations and tender packages.

The existing shop front was removed and a new striking contemporary shop front was designed by SD. Whilst SD was designing the new premises, LDC redesigned their practice logo to match the architecture and interior design contemporary feel.

The interiors were designed to have striking coloured themes for the two different surgeries and the main public areas. The detail in the project i.e. shadow gaps, lacquered white doors and white walls off set by the walnut flooring and feature lighting has made the new practice thrive since its grand opening.
